Faculty position at the University of Virginia

The Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE; https://cte.virginia.edu/) at the University of Virginia invites applications for an Assistant Director to be embedded in the School of Engineering and Applied Science (SEAS; https://engineering.virginia.edu/). This Assistant Director for Engineering Education Initiatives will join an internationally renowned educational development center committed to promoting the academic professional excellence of UVA faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and graduate student instructors. The incumbent will simultaneously be embedded in a world-class school of engineering, with cutting-edge research, and a deep commitment to instructional excellence. The Assistant Director of Engineering Initiatives is an Academic General Faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor (tenure-ineligible). This is a full-time 12 month appointment, with reappointment contingent upon the availability of funds. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.  The expected start date is August 2019.
