Call for ASEE BED Papers including the new Strategies for Hands-on Activities, Resources and Engagement (SHARE)

We are looking forward to all of your ASEE BED papers. The abstract deadline is October 15, 2025 and the draft paper deadline will be January 21, 2026.

We are excited to announce a new ASEE BED paper type focused on sharing of hands-on activities, resources and engagement.

Proposed Revisions to Division Bylaws

We are proposing updates to the Biomedical Engineering Division By-Laws. See the edited version here. We will vote to approve these at the BED Business Meeting at the conference in Montreal on June 24th from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm. Thank you to the BED members who worked on the ad-hoc committee to make these changes: Drs. Cassie Jamison, Cameron Kim, Christine King, and Mostafa Elsaadany! Some key changes to the By-laws:

    • Voting by fax is no longer an option.
    • Voting in elections can be done by written or electronic ballot by members who are physically or virtually present at the Business meetings.
    • Delegates to P-12, Interdivisional Town Hall, and the Commission on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion are now included, with terms of 2 years.
    • Some friendly edits for grammar and clarity.
    • The officer position of Secretary/Webmaster is being changed to Secretary.
