The Biomedical Engineering Department at The University of Akron invites applicants for a Visiting Assistant Professor position beginning Fall 2020. The Visiting Assistant Professor position requires teaching required undergraduate courses within the department. Candidates should demonstrate an interest in enhancing student centered teaching activities and supporting courses with hand-on laboratory components. Individuals with experience in teaching core engineering disciplines (computer programming, modeling and simulation, transport, materials, mechanics, etc.) and relating engineering principles across multiple disciplinary areas are desirable. This non-tenure track, 9-month position may be considered for renewal.
