Description
The Bioengineering Department at the University of Pennsylvania seeks applicants for one full-time lecturer position. Responsibilities will be teaching duties in biomedical signals and systems analysis, medical devices, and engineering design instruction. In addition, the position includes some advising and administration in the department’s undergraduate program. The position will be on a 12-month basis with successive one-year re-appointments possible and a limit of four consecutive appointments, based on an annual review and the department’s needs. After four consecutive appointments lecturers can be considered for a senior lecturer position. Qualified candidates may also be offered a senior lecturer position.
Qualifications
A Ph.D. in bioengineering, another relevant engineering or science discipline and a commitment to undergraduate education are required; previous teaching experience preferred.
