Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) invites applications at all ranks for a full-time faculty position in Biomedical Engineering (BME) beginning in the fall of 2019. Academic rank will depend on qualifications and experience of the selected candidate.
Candidates must have an earned doctorate in biomedical engineering or a closely related engineering field by the beginning date of appointment. A Bachelor of Science degree in biomedical engineering or a related engineering field from an accredited institution is preferred. Industrial experience is preferred. Candidates must be qualified to instruct undergraduate integrated lecture/laboratory courses and specialize in one or more subspecialty area of BME, including biomechanics, bioinstrumentation, biomedical sensors and actuators, biomedical signals and systems, and medical device design.
MSOE expects and rewards a strong primary commitment to excellence in teaching. Continuous improvement of teaching and continued professional development are expected. Fostering existing industry and clinical partnerships, and developing new ones, is an initiative of the faculty in the growing undergraduate BME program.
