The Ann and H.J. Smead Department of Aerospace Engineering Sciences (AES, https://www.colorado.edu/aerospace/) at the University of Colorado Boulder invites applications for a full-time Teaching Assistant Professor to teach in its undergraduate program. Candidates are sought who can teach all areas of our undergraduate curriculum with an emphasis on aerospace computing, systems engineering and aerospace vehicle design, senior capstone design, spacecraft dynamics, and/or propulsion. The position is anticipated to start in Fall 2024 but may start as soon as January 2024. Viable candidates should be capable of teaching a wide range of undergraduate aerospace engineering courses in both lecture and laboratory formats. A successful candidate in this position will typically teach 5 courses during the academic year. This position typically includes an effort allocation of 80% teaching and 20% service, although allocations may vary based appointment. The anticipated salary range for this position at the Teaching Assistant Professor rank is $88,000 – $94,000 academic year salary.
