Application deadline: Dec 2, 2024. Workshop dates: March 22-23, 2025.
It is our pleasure to invite graduate students in your department to apply to participate in Impact: Redefining Electrical and Computer Engineering Faculty (iREDEFINE), an NSF-sponsored workshop designed to increase the number of women and underrepresented minorities (W/URMs) among the faculty in ECE departments.
As in past years, iREDEFINE will be held in parallel with the annual meeting of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department Heads Association (ECEDHA) Annual Conference & ECExpo. The iREDEFINE Fellows will have dedicated programming designed to encourage and facilitate their path into academia. The close ties with ECEDHA provide a unique opportunity for the iREDEFINE Fellows to also attend general ECEDHA sessions, present their research to department chairs and participate in mock interviews. This year iREDEFINE will take place March 22-23, 2025, at Hilton Norfolk The Main in Norfolk, Virginia. iREDEFINE Fellows will receive a professional development grant (up to $2000) to cover registration to the ECEDHA Annual Conference, hotel accommodations, meals, and travel expenses.
iREDEFINE Eligibility
Eligible candidates are W/URM PhD students and postdoctoral scholars, ideally no more than two years away from the completion of their PhD degree. Eligible candidates must also have an interest in an academic career. U.S. Citizenship is not required.
iREDEFINE Application process
Students are asked to complete the online application by Monday, December 2, 2024. Successful applicants will be notified by Wednesday, January 22, 2025.
