The University of Iowa (UI) College of Engineering invites applications for an Instructional Track Faculty position in the rank of Lecturer with a start date of August 2023, but a start date of January 2023 would be preferred. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering or a related field. The successful candidate will develop a teaching portfolio in some subset or combination of health care engineering, human factors, data analytics, and simulation. Applications are welcome for either full-time (100%) on a 3-course teaching load per semester or half-time (50%) on a 3-course teaching load for the year. Each of these positions receives full benefits, and each may be extended, upon approval by the College of Engineering. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Teaching three class sections in each of the fall and spring semesters or for the year. These may include classes at both the undergraduate and graduate level.

Advise undergraduate students.

Contribute to department and college service activities.
