In 2019 we opened the doors to the state-of-the-art 190,000 sq. ft. Fascitelli Center for Advanced Engineering and completed the full renovation and expansion of historic Bliss Hall, the original home of the College. Over the past decade, the College of Engineering has grown substantially in enrollment, research funding, partnerships, philanthropic support, and investment in new faculty.  During that period,  half of the faculty have been hired, enrollment has increased by 50%, and external research funding has more than doubled.  Our world renowned International Engineering Program has expanded its scope and partnerships on a global scale. The University has transformed into a leading Land and Sea Grant institution and is the state’s flagship public research university. As we have adapted to the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, the University has continued to experience an increase in undergraduate applications and student excellence. As Dean, there are many opportunities to build upon the transformation of the College and collaborate across the University and with industry to enhance programs and research.
