ELD, the Gathering 2025

When: Wednesday & Thursday, February 12 & 13, 2025

Time: 12-4 p.m. (Eastern Time) each day

The Engineering Libraries Division is excited to offer a second free event for our members!   The ELD, the Gathering is a virtual forum to be held on Wednesday & Thursday, February 12 & 13, 2025. This free event welcomes ELD members to connect, collaborate, and learn! ELD, the Gathering is meant to supplement, not be a substitute for, the ELD programming and other content that will happen during the ASEE Annual Conference in Montreal, CA in June.  This is an additional opportunity for members to “gather”, in this case in a virtual environment.  The two-day format will feature lightning talks, round tables, and a few other activities. It’s a great chance to discuss and learn about current topics relevant to engineering librarianship.

There are three steps for you to be part of ELD, the Gathering.

  1. Register Today!  Registration Deadline is February 3rd
  2. Want a chance to show off your work?  Submit a lightning talk proposalDeadline is January 13th.  Notification of acceptance will be by January 24th.
  3. Have a less than successful project to share? Or a project with an unexpected result? Submit a Lessons Learned talk proposal to share your lessons learned so we can all learn from each other. Deadline is January 13th. Lessons learned talks will be lightning talk style. Notification of acceptance will be by January 24th.
  4. Any ideas that excite you or have heard people talking about lately? Have a hot topic or fun idea you really want to discuss with your colleagues?   Add your topic to the Padlet board.  Deadline is February 3rd.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the event planning co-chairs, Shelby Hallman and Kari Kozak.

We look forward to seeing you in February!
