Dear Colleagues,
We are reaching out to you to invite you or others you might know to submit a proposal to the 31st Annual APPE (Association for Practical and Professional Ethics) International Conference, which will be held in person Feb. 24-27, 2022 in Cincinnati. (There is also a virtual presentation option). If you need more information about the conference, please visit: https://www.appe-ethics.org/conference
As APPE STEM Special Interest Section leaders, we would like to highlight quality work in the fields of science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and computing ethics. This can vary from panels to case studies, to individual presentations. There are even a handful of paper competitions and awards. In our experience, we found this conference to be a particularly beneficial place for students to present their work and interact with scholars and practitioners in the field of ethics.
The due date for conference submissions is this upcoming Monday (Nov. 8). All that is due at this point is a 350-word abstract. I hope you’ll consider submitting, or encouraging others to do the same. We hope to see you in Cincinnati at the conference.
Thanks,
Alison Kerr and Dayoung Kim (APPE STEM SIS Co-Chairs)
