The Mechanics Division was founded in 1929 and is one of the oldest division within The American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) . Membership in the Mechanics Division is drawn from engineering – technical universities and community/junior colleges throughout this country and from abroad.  The Division strives to disseminate developments and trends in mechanics to engineering educators, and to foster interest in mechanics as a discipline. Major studies and surveys have been conducted by the Division in this direction.
