Research Experience for Undergraduates on the IOT

The Computer Science Department at the University of Central Florida (Orlando, FL) will hold a ten-week 2018 Summer Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) on the Internet of Things http://iotreu.cs.ucf.edu/. REU students will be trained in research-based theory and applications of the technologies used in this fast-moving interdisciplinary field. The REU students will join well-established research groups under the close supervision of faculty with expertise in security, privacy, hardware design, data analytics, healthcare simulations, and social computing.

REU program dates

May 14, 2018 – July 20, 2018

Eligibility requirements

– Sophomore, junior or senior undergraduates

– Majors: computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and information technology

– Must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents

– Minimum overall GPA 2.7

Program Benefits

– $5000 stipend

– $600 travel allowance

– On-campus housing

– Meal allowance
