The Pre-College Engineering Education (PCEE) Division of ASEE is planning a one-day engineering professional development for teachers located in the vicinity of Long Beach, CA – the site of ASEE’s Annual Meeting. Check back here for details and registration information spring of 2021.
This project is working in partnership with ASEE, school districts, and experts in the field to develop a framework for scaffolding the teaching and learning of engineering in P-12 schools.
Developed in partnership with ASEE, this work is a reference that provides a comprehensive description of the professional preparation and development to fully prepare P-12 teachers of engineering. Schools, administrative leaders, and professional development providers can use it to create or assess the level of P-12 engineering knowledge needed.
The Pre-College Engineering Education (PCEE) Division of ASEE is providing competitive grants to support teachers with the implementation of high-quality engineering experiences into their P-12 classrooms. These grants are awarded annually, with applications due by July 1st each year. Information about the grants can be found here.
This process was developed for any individual or organization that is seeking ASEE’s endorsement of a P12 Engineering Professional Development Workshop for educators. EPTDE’s website can be found here
ASEE partners with NSTA and provides four hands-on engineering workshops as part of the engineering day at each of the three regional conferences. Look for us on Fridays in Phoenix, Pittsburgh, and New Orleans.
Interested in the hands-on engineering workshops sessions presented as part of the ASEE partnership with NSTA? Search the session browser using ‘ASEE’ as a keyword to find the sessions that presenters submitted. In 2019 the regional conferences were held in Cincinnati, Salt Lake City, and Seattle.
