Director of the John Zink Institute which is part of John Zink Hamworthy Combustion in Tulsa, OK where he has been since 1998. He has 35 years of experience in the field of industrial combustion in the metals, minerals, incineration, textiles, paper, chemicals, and petrochemicals industries. He is a licensed Professional Engineer, is an inventor on eleven U.S. patents, and has authored/edited 13 books on industrial combustion along with over 150 other publications and presentations. He holds BS and MS degrees from Drexel University and a PhD from the University of Pennsylvania, all in mechanical engineering. He also has an MEd from the University of Oklahoma and an EdD from Oklahoma State University with a dissertation on CPD for engineers. He is a member of the American Society for Engineering Education, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and the Combustion Institute. He serves on several boards for those organizations as well as for several others. He has been an adjunct instructor for 30 years and currently teaches at the University of Tulsa and Oral Roberts University.
